Troops of the Joint Task Force (North-East), under Operation Hadin Kai, have arrested suspected terrorist collaborators and recovered drones and other logistics during coordinated operations in Adamawa State and Borno State.
In a statement issued in Maiduguri, the Theatre Command’s Media Information Officer, Lt. Col. Sani Uba, said troops of Sector 4 under the 28 Task Force Brigade, working alongside local vigilantes and hunters, apprehended a 28-year-old suspect identified as Ismail Muhammed in the Visik General area of Hong Local Government Area.

The military described the suspect as a logistics supplier to insurgents. Items reportedly recovered from him include one AK-47 magazine, rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, military accoutrements and assorted food items. He is currently in custody for further investigation.
In a separate operation in Madagali Local Government Area, troops ambushed insurgents along the Visik River line, where a suspected terrorist commander, Abdullahi Mafa, was killed during the encounter. An AK-47 rifle and a loaded magazine were recovered.
The statement further disclosed that troops, acting on intelligence, arrested a 64-year-old suspect, Dauda Gubula, at Madagali Motor Park.
He was alleged to be a collaborator and supplier of drones to insurgents. Recovered items included two aerial drones, related accessories and 20 solar power banks.
According to military authorities, the drones were allegedly intended for operational and weaponisation purposes.
Meanwhile, in Ngamdu area of Borno State, troops in collaboration with local vigilantes and the Civilian Joint Task Force repelled insurgent activity and recovered additional logistics materials while reinforcing defensive positions.
The military said the operations are part of sustained efforts to dismantle insurgent supply chains, disrupt logistics networks and strengthen security across the North-East region.
