The empowerment programme, held in Ikere-Ekiti, saw over N1 million spent on supporting 10 secondary school students, 3 students from higher institutions, and 6 women engaged in small-scale businesses.

Facilitator Apostle Julius Oluwafemi said the initiative aimed to alleviate poverty and empower women economically. “We selected beneficiaries from over 200 applications, with a focus on supporting less privileged students and women in the society,” he said.

Beneficiaries include Ikueduranni Fisayo, a 300-level student of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology (BOUESTI), and Ojolo Favour, a 300-level student of the College of Nursing Science, Ado-Ekiti, who pledged to use the funds judiciously.

The programme received commendations from Dr Olu Afolabi, a senior lecturer, and Pastor Adesuyi Femi, who described the initiative as “laudable” and “a great opportunity” for the beneficiaries.
