New Ekiti Police Chief, Adeniran Canvasses Trans-Border, Community Cooperation          …As He Assumes Duties

The CP suggested this while meeting with journalists in his office in Ado-Ekiti, to herald his assumption of duties.

He said to achieve the feat, he will assess the security architecture of the state and bring his wealth of experience and knowledge to bear on his fight against kidnapping, murder, robbery and other criminalities in the state. Adding that a multifaceted approach that will stand the test of time is fundamental. Hence, the cooperation of every stakeholder of which the media cannot be glossed over. 

The police chief pledged that every stakeholder will be carried on board, while unmanned places in the various communities will be professionally covered with the incorporation of vigilante groups into the security architecture. In the same vein, the police will work with allied security agencies  in the state, while members of the Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC , will equally be included in the process.The CP explained.

According to the Ekiti police helmsman, to achieve the set goals, the support of the residents of the state is necessary in a bid to restore and ensure sustained peace. He also said constant meetings among the diverse stakeholders will be encouraged. 

Mr Adeniran further remarked that proliferation of light arms and small weapons in the state in the hands of devil-minded people will be recovered by all means. ” “Any group with illegal possession of weapons is advised to surrender them to appropriate authorities or they should be made to face the wrath of the law”.
