25m Nigerians Received ₦25,000 Conditional Cash Transfer – FG

This was revealed by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, during a briefing with State House Correspondents following the National Economic Council meeting, which was chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Edun outlined various measures introduced by President Bola Tinubu’s administration to ease the challenges faced by Nigerians due to the removal of subsidies and other ongoing policy reforms.

The Minister noted that five million households have received direct cash transfers under these efforts.

Additionally, he reported that in the past five days alone, over 11,000 beneficiaries have received ₦3.5 billion through the consumer credit scheme.

Edun further said over ₦90 billion has so far been disbursed to half a million Nigerian students under the student loan scheme.
