The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has advised Peter Obi to reconsider his presidential ambitions for 2027 unless he is willing to form a coalition against the ruling party.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the cleric emphasized that President Tinubu’s political influence is too strong for any candidate to challenge single-handedly, including Peter Obi.
Primate Ayodele further stated that if Peter Obi believes he has the ability to rally enough support on his own, it would ultimately be a waste of money and lead to political ruin.
He warned, “If Peter Obi thinks he has the magic wand to gather the crowd, he won’t be able to unseat Tinubu. Don’t waste your money if you don’t want to face political misery.”
“It’s either you join a coalition or you don’t contest at all, Tinubu is too much for one person to remove from office, don’t waste money, instead use it to help the needy.”
Primate Ayodele continued by stating that Peter Obi is being misled and will face disappointment, even from those closest to him. He reiterated the importance of forming alliances with others.
He warned, “If you think you can stand alone to defeat Tinubu, you are joking. You cannot defeat Tinubu by yourself because many people are deceiving you. Don’t waste your energy, as even the Igbos will not support you this time.”
He further added, “Those you believe are still backing you will disappoint you, so you cannot afford to go solo in any way.”
