In a surprising political move, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senators’ Caucus from Osun State on Tuesday publicly endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term in the 2027 presidential election.
Senators Kamarudeen Oyewumi (Osun West), Olubiyi Ajagunla (Osun Central), and Francis Fadahunsi (Osun East) jointly signed the statement after a strategic meeting, declaring unanimous support for Tinubu’s leadership.
They cited his achievements in economic reforms, infrastructure, and improved national security, saying these gains reflect effective governance.
“This endorsement is not just symbolic—it reflects our deep confidence in President Tinubu’s ability to deliver on the promise of democracy,” the statement read.
The lawmakers stressed unity within the caucus and urged Tinubu to maintain and expand his development agenda.
