President Bola Tinubu has extended congratulations to President Donald Trump on his re-election as the 47th President of the United States.
In a statement released by Special Adviser to the President on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Wednesday, President Tinubu expressed optimism about enhancing U.S.-Nigeria relations amidst today’s complex global challenges and opportunities.
Following his victory, President Trump pledged to “heal” the nation as results confirmed his stunning comeback over Kamala Harris for the White House.
President Tinubu remarked, “Together, we can advance economic collaboration, promote peace, and tackle global challenges impacting our citizens.”
Tinubu noted that Trump’s victory reflects the confidence the American people place in his leadership and congratulated them on their commitment to democratic values.
He also expressed his belief that Trump’s prior experience as the 45th president will strengthen mutually beneficial economic and developmental partnerships between Africa and the United States during his new term.
Acknowledging the United States’ global influence, President Tinubu is confident that Trump’s leadership will contribute positively to peace and global prosperity.
