The beginning of a new year is an appropriate time to reflect on the previous year and celebrate the arrival of a new beginning with lots of excitement.
While rejoicing with Ekiti people for witnessing the new year, the Ewi of Ado -Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III, said there is every reason for everyone to appreciate the goodness of God in spite all odds.
He explained that 2023 was full of ups and downs coupled with economic challenges, saying, in all, the Lord sustains everyone.
The Monarch noted that 2024 is another opportunity to learn from the immediate past, live for today’s existence and hope for tomorrow.
Oba Adejugbe added that what the year will bring will depend a great deal on what one brings to the new year.
Therefore, the Royal Father called on government at all levels to get it right in the new year and make life more comfortable and worth living for the people.
He appreciated the Members of Ewi – In- Council, Ado Sons and Daughters and the Ekiti State government for their steadfastness and supports in the outgoing year.
The Ewi wishes everyone a prosperous new year and prayed for peace, progress and good surprises for all and sundry in 2024.
