My Blue Print
“By the grace of God, if I emerge as the Chairman of my LCDA in the forthcoming election, I will bring some new ideas and initiatives to the style of governance in Ekameta LCDA in accordance with the 6 pillars of BAO’s administration.
“I will ensure that my people at the grassroots benefit from the dividends of democracy. The yearnings and aspirations of the youths, elderly, children, men and women would be well taken care of.
“On youth development and job creation, I will ensure that we establish skill acquisition training center in Ekameta LCDA where our young ones can learn one skill or the other like tailoring, barbing, ICT, decorations and event planning etc.
“As per human capital development, by the grace of God we would organize seminars and entrepreneurship workshop for our people who are unemployed and for those who are already into self – employment in order to enhance their capacity and improve on their businesses.
“We would also facilitate overseas traveling for some of our youths who are interested in traveling outside the country to engage in legal businesses. This would eventually reduce all these social vices among the youths.
“On Agriculture and rural development, as we all know that Agriculture is one of the main stay of our economy in Ekiti, we would bring new innovations into Agriculture and modern ways of farming. Farm implements, chemicals and hybrid seedlings would be given to our farmers for improved output. We would also ensure that there is availablility of agricultural marketing channels for immediate take off of agricultural products.
“As regards infrastructure and industrialization, cottage industries would be established in our LCDA. Presently the factory of Gossy water is located in Ikogosi Ekiti, we would facilitate other water bottling company and pharmaceutical company to our LCDA because of the comparative advantage we have based on the Ikogosi warm spring that we are endowed with by the Almighty God.
“On Art, Culture and tourism, it is no longer news or over statement that the tourism hub of Ekiti is situated in Ekameta. There is warm spring in Ikogosi, Arinta water fall in Ipole and Omi Erin in Erijiyan. These are international tourist attractions. We would encourage private investors to partner with us. We would also invest in our cultural heritage that would boost the internally generated revenue of the LCDA and improve the socioeconomic life of our people”.
